What experience will you bring to the Ecohz team?
I have touched upon the world of renewable energy and sustainability from a variety of angles – during my engineering studies in France, public policy studies in the US, from the perspective of international cooperation while I was at the Norwegian Embassy in Berlin, and from the investor perspective while I was analyzing executive compensation schemes at ISS. Last but not least, I have been trading environmental commodities, such as GOs, I-RECs and Biogas certificates for the past two years, and have become quite familiar with the Renewable Energy industry.
In terms of industry knowledge, the Ecohz team is already extremely well served, so I aim to bring the best of my personal qualities: curiosity, flexibility and decisiveness. In addition, I have experience from the IT sector, both as a consultant and as a business developer for a start-up, which I hope to draw upon for our ever-accelerating digitalization ambitions. Lastly, I can bring some language skills, as I am a dual French-Norwegian native speaker, a fluent English speaker and a confident (and happily practicing) German speaker.
“I am very pleased to welcome Madeleine to Ecohz, and our global sales team. Madeleine comes with valuable market experience from the Nordic and European EAC markets, and will be key in delivering on a growing flow of client requests.”

Tell us more about yourself, Madeleine
I have always enjoyed sports and was a European Champion in Cheerleading many years ago. I have also played rugby in 5 countries and snowboarded every winter. With age, my repertoire of tricks has diminished, and I am fonder of hiking and cross-country skiing. I even started knitting last year, but that might be a corona-related hobby, I’m not sure it will stay on.
As a 30-year-old from the city (Oslo), I am a natural contender to care about sustainability. I am indeed an avid second-hand shopper, a creator of miscellaneous things, and someone who wished Oslo was closer to the rest of Europe by train. In particular to Berlin, which has been my home the past five years and has a special place in my heart.
