OK Power - German ecolabel

Ecohz offers OK POWER-certified Guarantees of Origin (GOs) from electricity production that meets the following criteria:

• It must be generated from 100% renewable sources.
• It must come from power plants that do not receive any governmental support.
• The power generator must not be involved or have any stake in nuclear or coal power plants.

In addition, all installations that offer OK POWER-certified GOs must meet a strict age requirement to incentivise the construction of new renewable capacity. The commissioning date of the eligible power plants is limited to the following:

• Hydropower: 8 years
• Wind power: 4 years
• Photovoltaics: 5 years
• Biomass: 4 years
• Geothermal: 8 years
