How to approach the different I-REC regions to meet your renewable goals

ECOHZ provides solutions that cover many regions of the world. You can document the origin of your energy consumption globally with Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs); Guarantees of Origin in Europe, RECs in North America and I-RECs in a growing number of countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. ECOHZ is currently developing a global portfolio of I-REC power plants, with the ambition of providing multinational companies with a wide selection of options covering most regions in the world.

Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs)

International RECs (I-RECs) is a global standard being introduced in a growing number of countries where no similar scheme exists, and it is an effective and recognised tool to document your reduced greenhouse gas emissions and improve your sustainability rating. For ECOHZ and many of our customers it’s important that the renewable energy produced which is tracked and documented with I-RECs is grid connected to their operations in that country and/or region. Because of this, we consider the following geographical areas as I-REC regions, but the number of countries is growing. (Dark blue countries are approved I-REC countries and light blue countries have grid connection.)
