Attending Sustainable Innovation Forum at COP21 in Paris

The Sustainable Innovation Forum (SIF15) is the largest business-focused event held during the annual Conference of Parties (COP), taking place on 7- 8 December in Paris. Tom Lindberg, the Managing Director of ECOHZ, is attending the 2-day forum to stay on top of COP21 developments.

The Sustainable Innovation Forum is an annual event by Climate Action & United Nations Environment Programme UNEP. The Forum convenes cross-sector participants from business, Government, finance, UN, NGO and civil society to create an unparalleled opportunity to bolster business innovation and bring scale to the emerging green economy.

More than 750 attendees from across the globe will attend this year, – the largest number of global stakeholders at any commercially-inclusive side event at COP21. They will participate in workshops and interactive discussions together with over 80 world class speakers including country Ministers, industry CEOs and international thought leaders.

Companies are now taking one additional step, namely actively influencing the climate agenda. Companies across all industries pledge to reduce their carbon footprints, commit to renewables and report their efforts in a transparent fashion. Tom Lindberg hopes COP21 will be a turning point in shifting to a green and low carbon society.
