Salmon River Origin
Salmon River Origin means that the power plants have reduced impact on the river eco-system which enables salmon to continue to live and breed.
This Guarantees of Origin option provided by ECOHZ, confirms
that the power comes from hydroelectric power plants along rivers
and waterways that are certified Norwegian salmon habitats.
Salmon River Origin is only available from selected power plants,
owned and managed by power producers with long-term framework
agreement with ECOHZ.
Salmon River Origin is an option for those customers who wish to
support power plants with extra ecological considerations with
regards to development and production, and who want to emphasize
the need to take care of the flora and fauna.
