Green+
Green+ means that the power is generated from selected hydro and wind power plants which fulfil all the latest national and EU environmental standards.
This product adheres to the following EU Directives:
- Directive 2000/60/EC of 23 October 2000 establishing a framework for water policy
- Directive 92/43/EEC of 21 May 1992 on the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora
- Directive 2009/147/EC of 30 November 2009 on the conservation of wild birds (replacing the previous directive from 1979).
All selected power plants for this product have licences given or revised by the authorities after the above mentioned directives were implemented into EU and national law.
Green+ is offered to clients who focus on electricity power plants that have limited negative effects on bio-diversity and local eco-systems, flora and fauna, water and protection of landscapes.
Routines for selecting power plants and delivering the product are verified by Det Norske Veritas, a foundation specialising on risk management and certification of routines.
