BREEAM
BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is an environmental rating and assessment system for buildings. Based in the UK, it sets the environmental standard for the construction industry in Europe, through design, construction and operation.
ECOHZ provides Guarantees of Origin for renewable energy adhering to the criteria for usage of electricity set by BREEAM. The accredited renewable energy comes from selected power plants owned and managed by power producers with long-term agreements with ECOHZ.
The BREEAM certificate is a quality stamp. Customers are guaranteed that the electricity meets strict environmental criteria:
- Renewable energy from accredited sources
- Generated revenues are reinvested in renewable energy
- Protect environmentally vulnerable areas
The contractual period must be minimum three years.
